What a fabulous time at Lynne Perrella's Book Signing at Stamp Your Heart Out of
Thank you all for a wonderful event and it was such a pleasure meeting you all.
Joan Bunte and Lynne Perrella were so gracious as to let me snap some pictures of them.
Lynne brought some of her lovely umbrellas and fans to decorate with. Incidentally she is a BIG fan of the glitter!!!!
Lynne told me that her inspiration for making lovely fans came from a need to make a big statement at a party and what better way than stunning bold fans!
I had to get in one shot with Lynne and her killer fans! I felt so blah in black and white with all that color!
As an added bonus, if you purchased a book that day you got a simply marvelous book mark made by Marilyn Pace(on right) posing here with another of the Stamp Your Heart Out lovelies!
I was so lucky as to get one with the letter "Y'"- Why you ask? Well pop over to this post you'll see "Y"
The book mark is made by sewing elements like ticket stubs, postage stamps, lace, leaves, and bits of fabric to two layers of paper. The dangling part is a small playing card with a button, a bingo chip, the letter "Y" and a paper flower glued on. The final touch is a shell glue onto a small bit of fabric. All I have to say is -WOW! I will savor this forever.
Whipping up altered art book marks isn't the only talent of Marilyn's, she also does the lovely store window displays. This one is a colorful collection of vintage aprons hanging from a clothesline.
I just adored the neighborhood this shop was located in. If you're in the southern California area you just have to swing by!
Oh! And if your significant other is in need of a rest while you indulge-rest assured (pun intended) there are spots for him too! This guy has been warming this bench a lot since his sweetie is a regular at the store.
