I love when a random bit of hardware like a sliding closet door finger pull can be transformed into such a cool piece of jewelry! That's what this amazing Steampunk style bracelet from the new book The Complete Photo Guide to Jewelry Making is made from. Follow the amazing tutorial and make one too.
Click on the pages from The Complete Photo Guide to Jewelry Making to enlarge and read the tutorial on how to make a mixed media Steampunk bracelet.
I want to share that this project was contributed to the book by Cyndi L of the blog Beading Arts.

Thanks for posting this about my new book. This particular bracelet was designed by Cyndi Lavin, and I adore it. She helped with both the mixed media section and also the polymer clay section. Oh, I think there are more like about 700 pictures now. Originally 600 was the number, but it kind of grew and grew!

Great ideas but weighty.I wouldn't want to wear this for more than a short evening.
I would adapt this to a nceklace I think.
Any book that Cyndi is involved in will be one I will want. I love her sort of creativity.

Love this idea! I've been making bracelets out of old coins and while they are cool, they aren't as cool as these ones :) Thanks for sharing-a definite must try project especially with holidays just around the corner.
