So... my wife and son crafted together his first communion banner on Saturday night. Not the trickiest build (felt, tacky glue, wooden dowel and some cabinet knobs, oh and a bit of stitching), but it was still fun building something from scratch.

My son is always designing and building stuff though. He *loves* Maker Faire. We all do.

Thanks!

Alexis

I love crafting by re-using and re-purposing as much as possible. Last year someone donated a ton of buttons and sewing supplies, so ever since I've been making all kinds of things with buttons. I especially like doing cigar box purses and I use the buttons as closures and decorative elements. Check this one I made a while back:http://pinterest.com/pin/143481938097759841/.

I've been doing a lot of recycling projects. Recently I had a couple of Starbucks coffee bottles, hubby's fave, and redid them to look like milk bottles. Also had some larger prescription bottles and stuck a vintage graphic on them. They actually look like a old medicine bottle! So cute and fun and easy! And I feel so green :)

I love taking thrifty/vintage finds and repurposing them. Today I used my vintage chip n dip bowl set as a succulent planter.

I am always making something. Usually I like to make my own designs. I'm looking forward to attending the Maker Faire this year.
