Angela Cartwright, author of Mixed Emulsions: Altered Art Techniques for Photographic Imagery
has some wonderful St. Patrick's Day posts on her Blog Said & Done with a lovely green photo!
This inspired me to try my hand at altering a photo with some of the techniques from Mixed Emulsions
So, step one take a photo. Hmmmmm, I'll head out to the back 40 (40 feet that is) and snap some pictures of the weeds.
What you see here is my attempt to make a disjointed/disconnected/exploding 4 leaf clover.
I uploaded it into Photoshop and turned it all green.
I turned it into a black and white photo and printed it out. I then took watercolor pencils and played a bit. I am officially hooked. I am going to try more of these techniques and share them with you!
And if your looking for some fun clip art to work with pop on over to Sweater Surgery for a link in Sunday's post!
May the luck of the Irish be with you in your St. Patrick's Day crafting!
Lovely, but digital art is very addictive, very.
