Only wool I've ever felted was for a purse. Turned out cool. Great way to use old sweaters.

Felted wool sweaters/garments are my newest addiction...purses are my favorite way to use them, but have done almost everything else that can be made with fabric....I love that it does not need finishing on the cut edges!!!

I love working with felted wool sweaters. I've purchased some at jumble/rummage sales here in England that haven't felted much though. It turns out they are a specially treated washable wool. Even in a hot wash and dry they don't felt so well.

And don't get me started on man -made fibres! They don't seem to felt at all.

But they can be needle felted if you don't mide a bit of fraying...

Loved the youtube video. I've been making felted beads with my thrift store sweaters but need to expand to other embellishments!

I loved the video too! Great idea. I tried felting some angora once but it didn't work. Now I see I should have done it a few more times. Thanks for the tip!

I've picked up some wool sweaters at a thrift shop and felted them in the washer, but I have yet to work with them. And the video above has given me some inspiration to begin creating with the felted sweaters. Thanks for the great video.

A friend introduced me to felting. I love your video as it taught me something new about felting. TFS.

I deconstuct wool sweaters and make felted dryer balls from them. You use them in the dryer instead of fabric softener.

I have made quilts, diaper covers, stuffed animals, and more for family & friends. I sell wool sweaters as a craft supply in my Artfire shop, http://resweater.artfire.com. I also have a recycled wool blog chock full of ideas and great recycled wool artists & crafters! http://resweater.blogspot.com

I do work with felted wool sweaters. I use them to make flowers for slippers, pins, etc. I make small bags, felted forms for landscapes that I needlefelt onto wonderful wool felted bags that my girlfriend knits and for christmas stockings and ornaments. I would make more things but I have to take time to cook and do dishes too! Shari in colorado
