I love this paper stencil and when I saw what Kanako's inspiration was, the vintage bowl, I just giggled because I have those bowls!
This mobile made from stencils and circles of paper is so whimsical and pretty.

Have a lovely weekend.
I've been making art when I travel out of necessity. I have 6 nieces and nephews and for the last 10 years all the traveling I have been doing has been related to family functions, ie: weddings, baptisms, etc...
So, I am always having to make something for the special occasion... baskets, flowers, boubounieres, and all sorts of other crafty stuff.
But I love it!!

What a cool book! Thanks for introducing it to me.
I always craft!!! I have a journal & a mini collage kit. I'm also making bead crochet necklaces & am able to fit a little kit in my carry on :)

I don't travel except to doctors appointments... and then I usually do some crocheting on the way there and back.

i almost always take my art journal with me with prepared backgrounds. i'll doodle in it, tape ticket stubs or snippets of paper, write entries. in winter, i take knitting projects. if i'm on a stitching jag, i'll take that project with little scissors and floss.

I always make some sort of an art journal when I travel. I usually make the base of the book from a map, or other local paper, poster or flyer. All my souvenier photos, papers, and other items I pick up go in it, or on it along with photos, thoughts and other journal entries.
