I tend to make smaller projects in warmer months too. I can't imagine doing an afghan in the summer, even with the A/C on! I also like to use cotton instead of wool.

As we have warm weather for so long here in Australia I do tend to knit all year round but I don't like doing heavy knits.

I also tend to knit with a lot of cotton or blends to make it not so heavy.
Washcloths, bookmarks and such are great for warmer weather.Oh and the adorable little amigurumi toys are good too.
Love them!

i would make small things, like doll clothes, in the summer and larger cover-my-lap projects in the winter.

Yes, I also knit or crochet in warm weather -- preferably smaller projects. :)

I can't knit!! Though I have tried 2-3 times and finished a small bag in a class, I can't seem to knit well enough on my own to finish a project. Perhaps it is due to the warm weather here the whole year round, I tell myself I don't need to knit. But I'll love to knit those cute little projects like knitted small necklace pouches, flowers, etc, if I could master knitting :(

You bet I do. In fact, posted a small photo of the latest project on the blog and couple of days ago ... a scarf ... no pattern, lots of different yarns ... just a fun experiment. Knitting and crocheting keeps me *grounded"!
