First I want to take a quick second to congratulate Nancy L. - she is the winner of Creative Wildfire by LK Ludwig in last week's giveaway.
This week's giveaway is Simple Gifts: 50 Little Luxuries to Craft, Sew, Cook & Knit by Jennifer Worick.
All you need to do to be in the running for this charming project-filled book is leave your answer to today's question in the comments section by next Thursday Midnight EST, July 1, 2010 and you are in!
Today's question is based on the fun project I am sharing with you today from Simple Gifts: 50 Little Luxuries to Craft, Sew, Cook & Knit:
Have you used a silhouette in a project? Do you have a favorite?
If not, do you have a silhouette project on your "to-craft" list?
Easy, huh?
If you haven't done any silhouette crafting, why not try this one:
I love profile silhouettes. I have a set of my grandparents that just make me smile every time look at them (which is a lot since they're on my living room wall). I think making a full-body silhouette of a little one is such a charming idea, and as the book title states, Simple Gifts: 50 Little Luxuries to Craft, Sew, Cook & Knit, what parent wouldn't love to get this as a gift?!

I have a silhouette that my son's Kindergarten teacher did of him ... capturing even his extremely LONG lashes! I love it and would love to do a big one to put on my wall.
I would love this book ... I need gift ideas.

I have never done a silhouette craft and have no real plans to do one, however, I am so grateful that my ex inlaws had one done of my son when he was a younger boy. It's one of my favorite things.

I have never tried making a silhouette, but I remember my parents had one of me made when I was about 4 or 5.

I remember one of me from elementary school - I think my parents still have it. I haven't used any silhouettes in my crafting, though.

Making a silhouette is such a nice idea. I am thinking of tackling the project digitally -- thanks for the idea!
Thanks also for the chance to win that great book. :)
