This "sew" made me smile both for the name and for the quilt itself! This is one of the quilts included in the book Journey of Hope: Quilts Inspired by President Barack Obama.
I know all of you who have a stash know just what we're talking about here and can totally appreciate where Maria C. Shell is coming from in making this colorful American flag quilt.

Quilts Inspired by President Barack Obama
By
Journey of Hope is a gallery of more than 100 stunning quilts inspired by President Obama’s path to the White House. The works range from the poignantly abstract to the grippingly realistic and feature techniques including piecing, painting, appliqué, embroidery, dyeing, beading, and more. Filled with the spirit of renewal and change that fueled the Obama campaign, Journey of Hope is a celebration of our patchwork heritage and the quilter’s art.
Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi is one of the world’s most influential African American quilt historians and quilting artists. Her current exhibit, “Textural Rhythms: Constructing the Jazz Tradition: Contemporary African American Quilts,” can be seen at the American Folk Art Museum in New York. She lives in West Chester, Ohio.

How delightful to see that celebratory quilts have been made to honor the election of this great man. He will need all the moral and physical support he can get as he moves through this very difficult period of US political and economic history. Keep up the good fight!
I will certainly buy a copy of this book, as much for the sentiment as the scholarship and inspiration.
