Holiday Goodness Giveaway Day 6! At this time of year, fun ways to give little gifts is on my mind, and that is just what I did with these cute Sizzix Treat bag topper dies combined with a cute pair of Hello Kitty socks and a bit of beautiful ribbon. Ribbon is so versatile! The book The Complete Photo Guide to Ribbon Crafts: Over 700 Photos - Bows - Flowers - Embroidery - Weaving - Jewelry - Fashion - Décor - More shows you tons of ways to use it. And that brings me to the giveaway question that gets you in the running for a copy of The Complete Photo Guide to Ribbon Crafts.
What is your favorite way to use ribbon? How do you use it on gifts? Or sewing or decorating?
Leave your answer in today's comments by Midnight ET Thursday December 23, 2010 and you are entered to win.
This sock gift project was really easy.
All I did was slip one sock into the other, as the pair of socks is part of the gift.
For the red stocking on the left, I put double sided tape on the inside flaps of the card stock topper and sandwiched the sock between them. Then I used a bit of coordinating ribbon to make a hanger.
For the blue stocking on the right, I simply threaded two coordinating ribbons through the holes in the die cut bag topper and put the top bit of the sock between the flaps and tied the ribbon to secure it.

I love making 3D stars, like Moravian stars, out of ribbon. I add string to make them into ornaments and then add them to presents.

I's just a paper crafter, so I use ribbon on my cards that I make. Ribbons add such detail and can make a card look elegant and charming. The book seems very interesting, and if won, I look forward to seeing all the different projects that use ribbons.

This looks like an excellent book. I am a lover of ribbon and probably have much more than I need. I mostly use fabric ribbon, but I have plenty of paper and gift wrapping ribbon as well. I always make sure to use ribbon in a unique way to decorate gifts. No purchased bows for me! I made fabric roses for my wedding gown and I am now making fabric ribbon flowers for mixed media art. I have used ribbon to decorate wedding and other cakes - very lovely results. Of these, my favorite way to use ribbon is in gift wrapping because ribbon makes the outside of a package as lovely as the gift inside!

I use ribbon in a range of ways. If you can find a place to get lots of it then it makes a great embellishment stitched on to fabric. I have 100 years of nice 1/2" narrow applegreen silky ribbon bought for .03cents a yard.I'm geared up to stitch this over a thinner cotton fabric to make diary/book covers as gifts.

Recently I have been making a lot of ribbon flowers for brooches as gifts. Normally I like to overdye my ribbons and then use them in many ways on my crazy quilt blocks. I just love ribbon!
