How to make a Pop Art collage from the book Art Lab for Kids

Pop Art is one of my favorite styles of art, so when I spotted this Pop Art collage technique featured in the book Art Lab for Kids: 52 Creative Adventures in Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Paper, and Mixed Media-For Budding Artists of All Ages, I just had to share the Easter Egg Pop Art it inspired me to make!

And here is what I was inspired to make:

It was so fun and easy to make this whole bunch of collaged eggs.

I keep scrapbook paper catalogs because the pages contain images of the scrapbook paper but on a very small scale which makes them great for projects like this.

I went to town punching out egg shapes using a McGill egg paper punch.

Then I cut them up to make patterns and glued the sections back together.

Then I punched out egg shapes from recycled magnetic business cards I have saved.

Then I glued the paper egg collages to the magnetic egg shapes.

I suppose this is a double Pop Art collage because I must admit I spent quite a bit of time arranging the eggs on the side of the fridge.

The best part is I can keep rearranging them not only in the egg shape but other shapes!
