I love this illustration by Tom Schamp featured in the new book 1000 Illustrations for Children:
Amazing Art Made for Kids Books, Products, and Entertainment. What really tickles me about it is the painting on the wall over the bed of the titanic. Not to mention all the other little fun details.
Do you ever put "inside jokes" into your art? I used to back when I made art for art sake but as of late I make inside joke or statement jewelry.
An example is I have been making a few necklaces that have shoes or boot charms on them. This is my symbol for"give things the boot" or "kicking *ss".

Julia Schonlau studied Fine Art at the Chelsea College of Art & Design in London. After graduating she worked for August Publishing and Redstone Press. Since 2006 she has published a yearly artist’s pocket diary together with AnnaBuehler.
