How to make a recycled sweater and doily sunglass case inspired by Zakka Handmades

I am so excited to be part of the Craft Buds Craft Book Month blog hop! Recycled wool felted sweaters are one of my all time favorite materials to work with.

And I happen to collect doilies. When I spotted this cute little pouch project in I though about my doily stash and thought I could recycle one using it as the flap.

Simply lay your sunglasses on the bottom edge along one side of the sweater and cut out a rectangle on the inside and top.

Sew up the two sides of the recycled sweater to form a pouch. The turn right side out and sew half the doily to one top edge.

Find a shank button that will fit through one of the openings in the doily. Sew it in place on the opposite side from where you sewed the doily.
