OK that said, now on to crafty and other news. I am so excited to announce that Alena Hennessy author of Cultivating Your Creative Life will be coming to SoCal in March to teach at Jenny Doh's studio. In this intuitive and playful class we will explore a variety of techniques and materials to create two works of art that express and hold our intentions and dreams. Using incredibly bold and rich color through India ink and acrylics, we will delve in and explore depth, flow, texture, line, and sacred mark making. You will be introduced to a variety of materials you may have not used before, which can open new worlds for you. You will also learn a lot in this process to deepen your own work to start you wonderfully afoot into the journey of art making. Your authentic creative voice and aesthetic will be encouraged to come out and shine as you naturally navigate your way to your own vision of beauty. In the end, the paintings you create will serve as a symbol and reminder of the dreams and intentions you are creating. Journal writing, sketching, centering, and circle time will also be an integrative part of the class.
