For Tasty Friday, I have a fun idea for making your marshmallows colorful. It's from the book The Complete Photo Guide to Candy Making. If you are a big fan of the marshmallow peep, I bet this tutorial on how to make colored sugar cover marshmallows will delight you and your guests. If nothing else they certainly are pretty and festive. Maybe make some red, white, and blue ones for the Fourth of July!
Sugared Marshmallows
Dip squares of marshmallows in various shades of colored sanding sugar instead of powdered sugar for marshmallows with sparkle and a bit of crunch. The sugar prevents the marshmallows from sticking to one another.
Place cut squares of marshmallow in a bowl of colored sugar. Roll the square in the sugar until the marshmallow is coated.
